Kat Cureton

Background – Professional: Kat has  been working in the fitness industry since the age of 17. She has worked for large corporate fitness companies as well as small privately owned businesses teaching group fitness, personal training, and employee wellness consulting. She has worked with a range of people with a variety of needs, including new fitness enthusiasts and elite athletes. Kat is currently working on her Masters degree, studying how recreation can be made more accessible so that more Canadians can reap the benefits of a physically active lifestyle.

Personal: Kat loves being outdoors and getting active every day. She loves hiking, running, biking, skiing, and resistance training. Her true passion in life is rugby. Kat has been playing rugby for over 10 years at a variety of levels – club, varsity, provincial, and national. She was fortunate to be chosen as captain for the University of Western Ontario Mustangs and Ontario U23 team (her home province).

Training Philosophy: “I think it’s important to tailor each session to the needs and interests of each client I get to work with.  This way, I feel that each session contributes to their personal goals and is both safe and enjoyable. I believe that fitness should be fun so I try my best to bring high energy and lots of laughs to every session!”
